|Hiding the Hostname in the Email Address|
The default configuration for the Netscape Messaging Server provides email addresses that include the name of the server. For example firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to remove the hostname "skill" and use just the domain name you need to follow these steps.
Go into Netscape Server Administration Program
Select the Netscape Messaging Server
From the Left side select "Server Preferences"
In the Right window find the box labeled "Local Mail Domains" and enter the following two domains.
The full name of the server including the domain name on one line and just the domain name on the second line, like this:
Then go to the bottom the screen and click the OK button.
Then you will need to restart the messaging server from the main admin page.
